For those of you who didn’t make it to Carpin’ On 2012 on 3rd & 4th March, here’s a little sample of what you missed!
It was a cracker of a weekend with something for everyone from talks on the stage with the likes of Terry Hearn, Dave Lane, Darrell Peck, Danny Fairbrass and the first talk from Kevin Nash in 17 years!
There were casting competitions, and all the major companies were showcasing gear alongside some of the big hitters from the tackle shops. To top it all off Tim Paisley’s latest book, More From The Bivvy was released to the public which went down a storm, and we had a world first with comedian and avid carper, Jim Davidson on stage regaling us with tales of his life and carping. Lots of money was raised for good causes such as the PAG and various charities. Judging by the amount of bait being trundled around and everything from bedchairs to headlights being bought it looks like everyone found something to buy!
Carpin’ On is back at the Five Lakes resort again next March, so keep an eye out for news on the website at and in Crafty Carper magazine.
